With the temperatures rising and the sun starting to make longer appearances, it is time to start thinking about Spring RV camping again. However, you do not need to wait until summer to go camping. Spring camping in Nashville is fun and can be an excellent change from the hot weather and bugs that summer camping can have. At the same time, spring RV camping comes with its own challenges. Here are some tips to enjoy RV camping during the spring…
- Set Up and Do Any Repairs : If you’re not renting your RV from Nashville RV, and before doing any RV camping, you should take the time to set up your RV before you leave home. Make sure that everything is working as intended and you make any small repairs that are needed. This does not only mean your RV, you should also make sure that your gear is in good condition. - Waterproof Clothing : Even when you go spring RV camping, it is a good idea to pack waterproof clothing. The weather in spring can be unpredictable at times and staying warm is key to an enjoyable camping trip. Make sure that you have a waterproof jacket and boots when you pack, especially if you plan to go hiking or spend time outdoors. Drying wet clothing is also important, so you may want to have some hangers in the RV to hang your clothing to dry.
- Extra Power for Electronics : When you are RV camping, you can rely on the power that is provided in the RV. However, if you are planning to go hiking, fishing, or other activities where you are going to be away from the camp for a long time, you should have extra batteries or power sources on you. There are many options that you can pick from, like the battery phone case or the power block. You should also think about getting a waterproof case for your phone and other electronics. If you cannot find one, a plastic bag will work. You should also make sure to check that the RV’s power is topped up. This is important because you may not have a connection to the power grid at some camp sites. You should ask about power when booking, but you should still make sure that you have power in the RV before leaving home. If you need additional power, consult with an RV rental specialist about renting a generator for your trip.

Myself and 5 other friends enjoyed a weekend trip to the mountains in a rented Sunseeker. It was our first camping trip since we were kids! Jake was kind and considerate towards any questions we had and provided us with a detailed orientation of the RV itself. He left me feeling confident in my abilities and comfortable with the vehicle. The RV was in great condition, and it accommodated all 6 of us adults no problem.

Rented an RV for a NASCAR race from these fine folks. Beau was our guy from start to finish and he was super helpful through and through. I booked the wrong dates 3 months ahead of time and realized it only a couple weeks before the trip. Unfortunately they had nothing available for the particular Rv I rented. I asked Beau if he could please find me something even if a downgrade or upgrade and he came through with a brand new 40 ft. class A Rv. Of course my mistake cost me more but our trip was saved. We had one little quirk with the Rv the first night. I was able to get in contact with Beau and he talked me through it and no further assistance was needed for the rest of the trip. Will definitely use Nashville Rv next year.

We finally took our maiden voyage with a travel trailer! We rented a 17JW Wolf Pup from Nashville RV. We pulled the trailer with a 2013 F150 with a V8. We were newbies to the travel trailer scene, but everyone at Nashville RV helped us along the way to make sure we knew what we needed to know. We had a great time! Our first stop was at Big Bone Lick Historic Site just south of Cincinatti. We picked Big Bone Lick because it was centrally located to the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum. We spent the better part of a day at each. We had camp site 028 and had no issues backing the trailer into the spot and getting everything leveled and connected. When it was time to leave, dumping the black and gray water tanks was straight forward and easy. After 3 nights, we headed to the main campground at Tims Ford State Park. Campsite 15 was a bit tighter than in Kentucky, but my wife did a great job of being my eyes while I was backing into place. We spent 4 nights at Tims Ford and enjoyed hiking in the park as well as to nearby Machine and Rutledge waterfalls. For those that are thinking about renting a travel trailer, I would definitely recommend renting a load distributing hitch. It was a bit more involved hooking up and un-hooking the trailer to the truck, but the guys at Nashville RV showed me how to do it and I had no issues. I was very happy that my truck did not squat, and it handled great. We are hooked on going camping with a travel trailer and will be going back to Nashville RV soon. If you have been thinking about going camping with a travel trailer, then stop thinking about and go do it!

I reserved a small class c for my trip. When we arrived our small class c was not available so we were given a medium class c. It was too big and very noisy. I would not rent that one again! Sad I didn’t get the small one! Maybe another time!

Brad was our initial contact, and he provided all the information about the rental, didn't hide any charges or try to sell us stuff we didn't need. Levelers alarm goes off saying Jack's Down on I-65 in Nashville. Loud! Wife starts googling for RV services along our path south (Florida destination). She finds Nashville RV in Franklin. Boy am I glad she did.

AND won't take a dime for jacking our right rear jack back up fully to the necessary place. Week retraction springs.

Would not rent a RV anywhere else. We rented one for our nascar trip to Bristol. From the reservation to the return, Brad and Garrett were extremely helpful and efficient. The process was super easy and the staff was very helpful with showing how to set everything up and operate everything. This was my first time renting a Camper and felt very comfortable when I left knowing how to operate everything correctly. Will definitely be back here on my next camper rental!!!

Went in on Saturday to see if they had a part for an older Winnebago. The place had been renovated since my last trip in there. It looks amazing. Staff was extremely helpful and they had the part. Friendly and helpful with questions.

This place has it figured out! I've dealt with a lot of salesman over the years from buying vehicles to heavy machinery and Brian Deegan far exceeds the expectations any customer could hope for. He is extremely knowledgeable in all things related to campers and financing!

From start to finish, renting our first RV could not have gone better. Garrett and his team did a great job of setting us up with the right vehicle, taking the time to explain everything and making sure our experience would be great. The RV was super clean and ran great. The bed was more comfortable than some hotels I’ve been to! The pick up and drop off process was easy and quick. It was a great experience for our first attempt at this new adventure. I would highly recommend them.

Nashville RV Rentals supplied us with our RV that my family and I used for our very first camping trip together as a family. We have used Nashville RV twice and loved the experience. Both times we rented a Class B rv and was surprised by the convenience, mobility, and overall comfort in a small package. Garrett and Brad were especially helpful and accommodating as we changed the RV we needed about a week out. We were interested in doing an RV vacation and happened to find Nashville RV Rental online. After that, it was clear sailing!! Garrett and Brad were exceptional in their assistance and customer service!! They assisted in picking out the right RV for our trip, had us visit their location and gave us personal tours of available units. We settled on a 23' motor home that fit our needs perfectly!! Garrett and Brad had our unit ready on pick up day. We were given a thorough review on the operation of the unit and made sure we were comfortable with it's operation before we pulled away. Our vacation was PHENOMENAL!! The unit was great and when we had a minor issue with the unit, a phone call to Brad took care of it. Ok, amateur RVers here, but everyone at nashville rv rental (franklin) was Great. We rented the B class, slept 4 comfortable, all necessities we are not use to because we have tent camped, so saturday football was not missed!
They went over everything needed (and more) for our smokey mountain long weekend. All was easy from pick up to drop off. They actually answer phone during off hours! Huge plus on service. We'll be back for sure!

Awesome experience with Nashville RV! We were first time renters (first time everything); Garrett and Brad were phenomenal from the time we walked in the door. Brad and Garrett were a pleasure to deal with and never made me feel like my questions were wasting their time. The RV was great, very clean and practically brand new. Huge shout out to Garrett and Brad for helping my family finish our RV road trip home through Tennessee - to NM from VA! We needed a new black tank hose, and I called from nearby asking if they sold any parts as we were driving through Nashville. They said they didn’t but then after a minute checked and realized they had an extra, new one lying around and simply offered to give it to me if I came by. It was a huge blessing as we drove all the way across the state today 😀 Thanks guys!!

We rented a 32 foot RV for a 17 day trip. It was an amazing adventure. We had plenty of room, and the RV drove great. Garrett and Brad were just a phone call away to meet any needs or questions that we had while we were traveling. Both have been wonderful with the 50 questions I had before we left. Nashville RV Rentals was a great place to work with on our first adventure with an RV. On our first visit, my wife and I were impressed with how the entire staff took the the time to show us different RV's and explain to us each aspect of the units. In setting up our pick up date, Garrett was great at explaining the entire billing process for the number of days we were to be gone. When we arrived to pick up the RV it was spotless, inside and out. Brad took us through the RV and showed us everything we needed to know about hook-ups, generator, etc, etc. The whole team was very professional in dealing with us. We would recommend them to anyone and would definitely use there services again!

Excellent service from start to finish! We have been looking for this service for awhile and so glad we found them. It’s the most affordable place I’ve found and it’s local. Very nice, brand new campers. We stayed in the XL trailer and loved it!! It made our trip so much more comfortable and worth every dollar to rent. Brad was very kind and helpful through the entire process. Garrett was very nice and helpful as well, he made sure we had everything we needed at pick up. Without Garrett providing us with the extra plug adapter, we didn’t know we needed, we would have been without power so he saved us there! I highly recommend this place! All the staff was very friendly from start to finish, and we accidentally caused some damage to the camper in transit. They were extremely fair on the repair, didn’t price gouge at all. We did the math and it was cheaper to stay in a nice $75,000+ camper than to stay at a Motel, so glad we did this. 5 star service all the way and looking forward to my next rental with them.

Our family was looking for a COVID-friendly vacation this summer, and we found it, thanks to Nashville RV Rentals! There are lots of options out there, including somewhat cheaper online peer-to-peer rental options, but we appreciated the perks (and newer models) that came working with an established, local dealer. We were able to visit the site beforehand to tour various rigs before deciding on what was best for us. The optional bike rack, kitchen and linen sets were a good deal, and the unit held up well under various road conditions during an epic 1,300 mile trip through the Arkansas Ozarks. We only called the emergency line once the first night, and they were very responsive (and understanding).
For any other first-timers: the orientation is adequate, but brief. I'd encourage you to view YouTube tutorials as well before showing up for your rental and/or just filming the key parts of the orientation, as the manual is pretty slim. But, assuming those precautions, Nashville RV is a full-service, one-stop shop to get you safely on the open road--especially first-timers.

First Time RVer's and we LOVED it!! Spent a Covid-cation at Rocky Mountain National Park. Garrett really went over and above to make sure we were comfortable with operation and systems on the 35' Thor!! It was killer! I highly recommend Nashville RV Rentals. We were first time campers and this was our first time renting an RV. Garrett was excellent to deal with. Garrett went above and beyond and gave us a very thorough tutorial the day of our pickup. He really took his time explaining the nuances of our particular model. He also said we could call at any time if we had any questions or concerns. The RV we rented was very clean and had everything we needed as a family of 4. We have used Nashville RV Rental before on a long weekend with a towable trailer. It was a new spacious unit, but we did have an evening where the furnace went out in the night in the Smokies. The team at Nashville RV had someone out within a couple of hours to fix it. So, when it came to a long cross country trip (2+ weeks) with a motorhome we knew just who to go with to make sure we could feel comfortable we’d be covered. The 2020 28’ Forester Motorhome was perfect and we had no issues. The unit was in great condition - and it served my family well for possibly the best vacation we’ve ever had. Ample storage and a great orientation when you pick the unit up.
Garrett was very helpful and was even able to get us a one day extension to enjoy our trip. This place is top notch. We will definitely be back for our next RV rental. A heads up that this place is a little more expensive than somewhere like Cruise America but I feel like you get better service, a better RV and better coverage so it is worth it.

We had an excellent experience with Nashville RV from start to finish! Being new to traveling by RV, we received a great orientation on the basics of RV rental, were guided to which type of vehicle would be best for our trip and our family, and very pleased to learn that only newer, one year old vehicles are leased to clients. Upon pickup of the RV, we were pleased to be given a very thorough training on every feature of the vehicle by Garrett, who was a pleasure to work with. He took time to answer any questions that we asked. An instructional notebook was included in the vehicle for reference, which we referred to several times. We had a very minor issue on how to operate the generator during the trip, and our question was answered with a quick call to the office. Our trip through the Southeast was a joy, and we made memories for a lifetime. We highly recommend Nashville RV, and plan to lease from them again next summer!
